MoU Signing Ceremony with ISRS and Discussion on the Future of U.S.-Uzbekistan Bilateral Relations

On December 13, the Caspian Policy Center (CPC) and the Embassy of Uzbekistan co-hosted a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement between CPC and the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS). The MoU signifies our shared commitment to fostering cooperation, mutual understanding, and collaboration between think tanks in the United States and Uzbekistan. Through this partnership, the two organizations will aim to strengthen bilateral relations, exchange expertise, and promote joint initiatives that address issues of mutual interest.

In addition to the signing of the MoU, a discussion was held on the future trajectory of United States- Uzbekistan bilateral relations, exploring opportunities for enhanced cooperation between the two countries in light of potential policy directions of the incoming U.S. administration. CPC CEO Efgan Nifti, Research Director and Senior Fellow Dr. Eric Rudenshiold, as well as members of the CPC board including Ambassador (ret.) Richard E. HoaglandDr. Marsha McGraw Olive, and Admiral (ret.) Ron MacLaren participated in the discussion with National Foreign Affairs Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, Director of ISRS Eldor Aripov, and other regional experts.
