On April 4, the Caspian Policy Center hosted experts Dr. Johannes Linn, Brianne Todd, Robert Daly, and Dr. Elizabeth Wishnick to discuss the implications of China's growing influence in Central Asia. Ambassador (ret.) Richard Hoagland opened up the event and Dr. Marsha McGraw Olive moderated. The speakers addressed the security and economic implications of the Belt and Road Initiative, the influence of Russia and China in Central Asia, and how the United States can respond to emerging challenges in the region.
