The Caspian Policy Center (CPC) is an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan, policy institute that promotes research and advocacy on topics related to society, politics, economics, security, culture, and international relations specific to the broader Caspian region. CPC provides policymakers, experts, and the public with authoritative research and analysis, as well as innovative ideas and events, that contributes to a more nuanced understanding of this evolving and complex region. A key element of our organizational mandate is to engage with, inform, and prepare foreign policy experts, academics, and national security leaders interested in the broader Caspian region.
Committed to the highest standards of integrity, CPC maintains absolute intellectual and editorial independence, with complete control over the organization’s events, publications, projects, travel, and research activities. Attitudes and opinions expressed by authors published by CPC reflect the views of the authors alone, CPC does not advocate institutional policy positions. CPC complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and does not lobby or engage in representational or advocacy activities on behalf of any entity or interest, domestic or foreign. To the extent that CPC receives funding from non-U.S. sources, all resulting activities will be consistent with applicable federal law. All CPC donors can be found on the website.

Research Integrity and Independence
The mission of the Caspian Policy Center (CPC) is to conduct research, analysis and to formulate policy recommendations that address the pressing issues of the broader Caspian region. The institution maintains absolute intellectual independence, editorial and content discretion related to its publications, events, and projects, and is beholden to no outside party or interest. The CPC is committed to the highest standards of intellectual, organizational, and personal integrity. CPC does not hold institutional positions on policy issues. Positions expressed in CPC conferences, events, and social media, as well as the content of CPC publications, represents the views of speakers and authors. The CPC does not engage in lobbying, advocacy, or representational activity and complies fully with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. To the extent that CPC accepts funding from non-U.S. sources, those activities will be limited to bona fide research-related activities, consistent with applicable federal law.
CPC Donor Acceptance and Disclosure Policy
CPC accepts funds from a broad range of sources with a strict proviso that funds are provided solely for purposes in keeping with CPC’s core mission. These contributions can be accepted on an annual basis, in installments, or received as in-kind goods or services. CPC is appreciative for its supporters and their contributions which provide critical support to sustain CPC’s important work. Contributions are accepted at the discretion of CPC’s leadership and subject to review. Per CPC’s integrity and independence policy, acceptance letters for all contributions specify that CPC is accepting said donations to generally support the institution’s good works, recognizing that CPC retains absolute independence and control over any and all intellectual content funded in whole or in part by the contribution.
