Today, September 23^rd, the Caspian Policy Center hosted an event on the topic of The Organization of Turkic States’ Role in a Changing World in Washington, D.C., where Secretary General for the Organization of Turkic States, Baghdad Amreyev, discussed the role of the organization in a rapidly changing world, especially as traditional power brokers face new obstacles.

The Organization of Turkic States is an international organization that has emerged as an increasingly influential platform for connecting Turkic-speaking countries, as well as fostering comprehensive cooperation between these countries and the world. Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General for the Organization of Turkic States provided his comments on important agreements made with member states, new and existing areas of cooperation, and answered the questions asked by our honorable guests. The areas of cooperation include agriculture, transportation, economic prosperity, social development, education and culture. He also commented on security challenges, along with integration of technologies and government services.

“I’m sure we can achieve good results in this period, every summit of our organization is a turning point.” - he concluded.
